[Pleasant Valley- Longview Edit!
This is a custom edit of Longview by Rflong7 on CustomSims3.


I took the beautifully crafted Longview, added some different lots, and decorated it myself. I am quite pleased with the results!

Pleasant Valley has a suburban district, a small business district, a downtown City, "The Hills", a beach, mountains, a secluded beach, an army installation, and farmland.

I will be honest: I was sorta lazy with some of the decor/lots, but it really gets to be hard to be creative when you're filling up an entire world.

Other Resources - CAW Criquette's Ocean Liner from Sims 2 converted to Sims 3





In Sims2 there were some wonderful neighbourhood objects created by Criquette. I wanted some of these in my Sims3 world for use in CAW and so converted them with permission from Criquette for myself and others to use.


These objects are from the Ocean Liner package, and the quality of the origional items clearly shows with them being scaled to Sims 3.

The sizes have been modified slightly to bring them into line with existing Sims3 objects.

The Ocean Liner is in 2 parts.. to line these up, in CAW place the hull, and then when you place the decking, copy and paste the X,Y,Z and the three rotations from the Hull object to the Deck object and they will line up fine.

The terminal building is in 2 parts, the base and the building.. you can either do as above, OR I would recommend building a base as normal in CAW as the textures and sizing of roads, etc is more suitable for Sims2.. your choice

The moorings are so big, that I recommend you place the mooring deck and then copy paste the legs into position as with the Liner.. however, depending on the angles etc you have this at, you may find the legs don't quite line up and a little bit of manual adjustment may be needed to get it all perfect.

I hope you enjoy these items and give you some additional objects to play with when building your worlds.

These are not small objects.. the water in Bridgeport is only just deep enough for this to fit.. you have been warned

So this is what I’ve been working on for… a whooole lot of time. Welcome to Redcliffs!

Redcliffs is a small (ok not so small) coastal village, with everything your sim could ever want! There are distinct “districts” – a rural section, downtown, suburbian, and coastal beach areas. I have included all rabbitholes downtown, except for the big restaurant (there is a diner though), but everything else is covered. The junkyard is in the industrial park near the back of town.

I want to say a humongous thank you to MactheKat, SimsArtGallery, Ballarose and all the people who have helped me along the way, whether it be by decorating some of the community lots or testing the hood for me, or just putting up with me bitching and moaning because the routing was making the game crash (that’s fixed, by the way, lol.)

I wanted to make it CC free, but you know… its hard. So I have made a file of all the CC I have used to make life just that little bit easier. I hate scrambling around for stuff included in worlds, so I would hate to subject you dudes to that too. There is one piece of CC that is essential (everything else will just convert to something EA if you don’t have it) and that is the cement terrain paint. I have used it on almost every community lot, so you definitely need that. Its in a well marked folder in the CC rar, so you’ll know what I’m talking about. All the CC in the folder is sorted by creator, so I want to say thank you to all those creators for all their work, and apologies for just including it all. I figure you guys won’t mind so much. It just makes it so much easier!!! There’s also some extra special unreleased Awesims bits in there (some stuff isn’t..perfect.. but was used anyway, lol.) namely the kitchen you guys might have seen about the place, and some nice cornices for community buildings (they are fences) & the arches for the pool lot. I know the CC file seems large. But some stuff you just can’t live without!I want to say thank you to all those creators for all their work, and apologies for just including their CC. It just makes things so much easier!! Please click here for a list of CC included in the CC file.

Redcliffs is made using a “large” map, using the most recent version of CAW. It requires the Base game, World Adventures and Ambitions. I assume your game also needs to be fully patched and up to date etc. I have used a bunch of store stuff, most of which is listed in the CC file. Routing has been thoroughly tested, and is mostly fine, there are always gonna be oddities though. I have picked through it with a fine tooth comb though, so it should be ok.

This world is provided as is, and you have to accept any risk involved with using custom worlds. I have had this world tested by several people, and have played it myself and it’s working swimmingly. If you encounter major problems, please let me know by leaving a comment here, and I will do my best to help, though I am by no means an expert, so I may not be able to do anything! Please don’t have me up about mediafire problems, like with downloading or whatever, there is literally nothing I can do about it, and it would be far to expensive to host such a large file here. Sorry about that!

One of my lovely friends from Living Sims - Speechless - has created some wonderful lots especially for Redcliffs (though you can of course use them elsewhere, lol!), be sure to visit her blog and grab them!

Notes:

- The world Map was tested extensively. If you find something that is a bit off kilter, my apologies. I tried my best to get everything just right in the Map!

- This map comes in Sims3Pack form. I have no plans at the moment to upload just the WORLD file.

- As of release date...we were not able to generate ghosts in the cemetery.
This is a known issue in new Worlds. If you know of a way to do so, please let us know!

- There are no Sims in the town. We have, however, created several families for you to use!

- There are 5 Starter Lots in the town. We also provided larger lots here for you to use!

- NPCs and Townies will be generated as need arises. They will overtake any empty lot so make sure you leave the starters empty at first!

- There are several empty lots left for you to add your own creations.

- You can of course change anything you like that is built. Neighborhood objects can not be changed or deleted.

- I did NOT restrict the camera movement so you will be able to view the entire World and the surrounding waters.

Install via the Launcher!

To make installing the World/Lots/Sims less painful, you can use this method:

-Download all the files to one folder
-Extract the Sims3pack files from the rars
-Cut/Paste the files to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads
-Open the Launcher,
-Click the Downloads button...you'll see all the files you just moved
-Check Select All
-Then click Install...the files will be added to the game quickly.
